This laboratory aims to devise and improve automated systems based on processes and operations adaptable to the environmental conditions. Work in this laboratory is carried out in both Software and Hardware areas. As for the software systems area of work, laboratory is currently focused on automated and intelligent detection and decision making systems. In the hardware systems work area laboratory research interests include robotics systems (manipulator and mobile robots), intelligent sensory systems, home automation systems and condition monitoring systems. Laboratory research interests also include research on remote sensing related measurement systems and the development and improvement of the information extraction and analysis methodologies applicable to the multispectral image and data sets produced by the equipments that are used for remote sensing.
